Lucrative small business of duck egg in Cambodia
It is available for me to eat the maximum of two duck eggs one time. If you want to try some pong tea koun in Khmer (fertilized duck egg with foetus), it is not hard for you to find out them in Phnom Penh. Eating baby duck egg in the evening is regarded as snack and is enjoying by Cambodian people throughout the Country.
When I met my uncle from United States of America, he said that Western people are afraid to eat fetus eggs but most Cambodian people enjoy eating it and they believe that it is delicious and provide energy and a high-protein as well.
The ages of the eggs ranging from 17 days (small) and 19-20 days (medium) and 20-23 days (large) are boiled in hot water or in oil. The ingredients which are eaten with boiled fetus eggs are pepper salt and slices of lime or sweet sour chili sauce with garlic.
It is easy for you to try out the street stalls of fetus eggs near O’Russey Market or in front the Royal Palace or along the riverbank in Phnom Penh.

I love it too [but with small foetus]. The western people think that the egg is unhygienic and may transmit some for of virus or bactaria.
