Karaoke star’s car crashed into Buddhist Statue

Vang SreynoAccording to the local media, Vang Sreyno, Karaoke actress, had accident in early Tuesday morning at around 3 am. Her Camry Toyota crashed into a recently erected monument to renowned Buddhist scholar Chuon Nath in traffic circle in Phnom Penh, breaking the head off a concrete lion and damaging a Naga statue.

The Cambodia Daily reported that shortly before the accident, the car’s owner, Vang Sreyno, 24, and at least two others left a nearby karaoke parlor at 3 am after a night of drinking.

Pol Davy, quoted by the Daily, said that municipality public works officials will ask Vang Sreyno to write a letter of apology and agree to pay for repairs to the statue when she surfaces. She will also face a fine.

No specific source revealed that Vang Sreyno got serious injure or not. Because after accident, there was other car coming and then drove them away.
