Cambodian gay: Pupy

In general, we always know that most of foreigners have sex changed from male to female or female to male, especially from gay to female. Normally, it is strange when we heard that Cambodian people change their sex organ. As you know, sex change surgery, known as sex reassignment surgery (SRS) or gender reassignment surgery (GRS), is the final stage in the physical transitioning of a transsexual or transgendered male-to-female or female-to-male.

Last year, one of Cambodian gay changed her genitals into female sex. It sound wired for Cambodian citizens when knowing it. As you know in general, Popy, 25, is gay and performing as movies and Karaoke actress after she was awarded the gay contest. Her real name is Neang Sothea and she is the youngest child in family.

In the interview with the local magazine, Popy said that she changed her genitals into female gender since early 2007 in Thailand by spending more than 7,000 US dollars. And then she informed all of her audiences that she would not be gay anymore, she is female like other women.

At the mean times, she told the magazine that we would plan to get married to man in the near future. Even though, after getting married, she would not have baby like other women because her real sex is man. Therefore, she cannot give baby’s birth. To this point, why will a man dare to marry her? If her marriage will take place as you planned whether she will be able to live together with the man forever. In fact, her love will not be sustainable. Right???

Such things happen to spoil cambodian society as (popy) treat him/herself as naked sometime and her words are not nice especially on the radio. She is now representing as a bad girl in talking & wearing cloths like in this picture. A cambodian girl never do so such & such…

  3. Khmer Stars Says:

In the current Cambodia society, People do not like someone who love to change its genitals like her. Even though, we all should not discriminate against the third gender. All people have full rights to do something legally, except opposing the law.

By the way, it is not good for someone who manages or spoils Cambodia tradition, culture, or morality as well.

I have no problem with that. Everyone has their own problems to solve. Popy seems to know how to handle her own problems perfectly.
This is personal. It should not be affected by religion, culture or tradition. It is perfectly balance to have both God and the Devil. Gay and Str8 or Women and Men are part of natural balance. I’m a 21 years old guy who is not balance yet. Awaiting for my soul mate. I don’t mine if Popy come into my life. Hey, I can adopt baby at any time. Blood is blood, human is human. Whoever created them, it doesn’t matter. Don’t think that your own baby grew up better than the adopted one. Most of the time, the adopted one treated you better.
Be opened minded and be kind to each other. sorsocheth@yahoo.com

I support Popy because it’s the human’s requirement from the nature. We can’t drop this problem to her only. No one who wants people in the society blame oneself, but she can’t force her mind not do like this. So, you are the people who lives in Cambodia the same to her, you should encourage her to be strong in her life to live.

You need to remember that Pupy is only an individual who maybe not set up a good example to society by her usage of word and some behave, but she doe not represent all third gender. It depends on individual who are bad or good

I totally agree with you, on the concept of having an open mind and about adoption.
